On June 16th, 2010, Hope Dworaczyk, the 2010 Playmate of the Year, Marlon Kirby, the designer of the Maxximus G-Force and the driver on its record-breaking runs, and the car's owner, David Bruce McMahan, unveiled the re-designed car at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Marlon Kirby, from midget car speed demon to designer of the Maxximus G-Force

 

Dave gives his son Marlon Kirby advice before a midget raceMarlon Kirby, the designer behind the Maxximus G-Force, has been a speed demon since infancy.

Even when he was two or three, living in Chicago with his mother and policeman father David Kirby, Marlon used to like The Beach Boy's Little Deuce Coupe.

“He used to bounce around like kids do,” his dad told me. “And I thought even then y'know, the kid's affected by speed, sounds & activity.”

Maxximus G-Force The Hit of the Big Boy Toys Super Show

For three days the car was admired from front to back and top to bottom by thousands of visitors to the Big Boy Toys Super Show in Abu Dhabi. Members of the Royal Family and their entourages came by, big Sheiks and little Sheiks, along with expats and their families. Everyone wanted their picture taken with the car. Our boxes of brochures and copies of press releases were gone by the middle of the first day. read more...
